As random as it is, promoting positive body image is very important to me. When people, mostly girls, tell me things they don’t like about their bodies, I don’t even know how to respond because 99% of the time there’s nothing even wrong with them .
I truly commend Dove for putting together these self-esteem commercials promoting positive body image, and boosting self esteem. Females in today’s society are still taking on such a negative image, and I like to see someone trying to change that.

I love this one! That dove commercial is definitely my favourite also! You’re completely right about the image that is being shown to us on television, and girls thinking they have to live up to that. However I don't think it always wants to be skinny or thinking you’re too fat. For myself when I say something like “Oh, I need to lose weight" I really don't mean it as I think I’m fat. I am saying it because I know I could be healthier, not thinner. But maybe just more defined.
That's a really good point. It would be really cool to see a company put out a commercial about body image but some how portray it in a way that promotes healthier eating and a more active lifestyle. I would really enjoy that.
